The minority government virtually collapsed after a <strong>no-confidence vote<\/strong> ousted French Prime Minister <strong>Michel Barnier<\/strong> on Wednesday. The vote followed Barnier&#8217;s controversial use of a <strong>constitutional article<\/strong> to push through a law cutting the <strong>social security budget<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Data Releases Ahead of ECB Decision<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Germany&#8217;s HICP:<\/strong> Before the ECB announcement, <strong>Germany<\/strong> will release its final <strong>November Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP)<\/strong> estimate, expected to confirm a <strong>2.4% year-on-year increase<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>US CPI:<\/strong> In the United States, the <strong>Consumer Price Index (CPI)<\/strong> for November will be released on <strong>Wednesday<\/strong>, expected to remain steady at <strong>0.2% month-over-month<\/strong>. Inflation currently appears to be less of a concern for the <strong>Federal Reserve<\/strong>, and even higher-than-expected CPI figures are unlikely to alter the Fed&#8217;s monetary policy stance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>US PPI:<\/strong> The <strong>Producer Price Index (PPI)<\/strong> for November, due on <strong>Thursday<\/strong>, is also unlikely to significantly influence markets as it will follow the CPI release.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>EUR\/USD Daily Technical Analysis for December 9th<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the <strong>EUR\/USD<\/strong> daily chart on <strong>December 9<\/strong>, the pair remains in a <strong>neutral<\/strong> trend. It is positioned above a <strong>bearish 20 SMA<\/strong>, offering support around <strong>1.0540<\/strong>, while both the <strong>100 SMA<\/strong> and <strong>200 SMA<\/strong> are gaining strength to the downside, more than <strong>200 pips<\/strong> above the current level. Technical indicators are showing mixed signals, with the <strong>Momentum indicator<\/strong> flat at the <strong>100 line<\/strong>, indicating indecision. The <strong>Relative Strength Indicator (RSI)<\/strong> is at <strong>46<\/strong>, slightly tilting risk to the downside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of support, immediate levels are found at <strong>1.0540<\/strong> and <strong>1.0500<\/strong>. A break below <strong>1.0500<\/strong> would expose the <strong>1.0440<\/strong> region, which marked the low for the pair in October. If this level is breached, the <strong>1.0320-1.0330<\/strong> area would be the next downside target. Resistance is at <strong>1.0630<\/strong>, followed by the <strong>1.0700<\/strong> level. However, it seems unlikely that the pair will break through <strong>1.0700<\/strong> given the ECB\u2019s expected policy moderation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, the <strong>EUR\/USD<\/strong> pair remains range-bound, with downside risks prevailing.
