Both parties reported \u201csubstantial progress\u201d after two days of negotiations aimed at easing tensions. <strong>Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng<\/strong> described the talks as \u201can important first step\u201d toward stabilizing bilateral relations, while <strong>U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent<\/strong> also noted meaningful advances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking ahead, market attention turns to Washington\u2019s response to the <strong>European Commission\u2019s<\/strong> proposed retaliatory measures against U.S. tariffs.
